ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER!

Malcolm acquired his life long interest of photography through the eyes of his father’s career as a commercial photographer. He started taking pictures with his first camera at 7 years old, and proved to have a very creative eye. When Malcolm was in his teens, his father let him use a 4x5 camera. He learned to load film, process it and make prints in the dark room. His High School teacher was flabbergasted when he learned that Malcolm did his own work.

As a second generation photographer, Malcolm was able to develop his talents by pursuing landscape photography through various overseas trips. It was Malcolm’s own young family that intrigued his artistic side in pursuit of photographing people. Malcolm is able to capture unique sides of ones’ personality through the candid lens. Located in White Rock, Malcolm can provide a range of outdoor portraits at the location of your choice. White Rock and Crescent Beaches as well as Bear Creek Park are a popular photographic setting for family portraits. He hopes to be able to offer his clients a home portrait studio setting in the future.

Malcolm also provides photography services for weddings, baptisms, engagements, graduations and any theatrical/musical events. Babies and children are also welcome to be caught in a unique presence. As a father himself, he has the patience and understanding it takes to capture that magical image (and quick!). He also is able to provide custom landscape images of local scenery upon request.

ABOUT THE ASSISTANT!

Leslie McDougall, has recently celebrated 13 years of marriage with Malcolm. She sets all the appointments and handles the administration and marketing. She also assists with the posing of families during your session and selecting images for your collection. She also carries the tripod and camera bags! Leslie is also a part-time paralegal and plays the flute with the South Fraser Concert Band.

Malcolm and Leslie also are the proud parents of two boys. We guarantee that you will feel at ease and comfortable having your portrait session done. We will even make it fun. We also guarantee to have digital proofs delivered to you within 7 days in the form of a webpage. No waiting several weeks for proofs or prints.
